Our client has designed, developed, tested and proven a specific water turbine system for the generation of energy on a larger scale. Specific for the very efficient operation of this hydro turbinesystem is that funnels for ebb and flow are used. These double the flow force in the turbine tube and therefore cause improved venturi operation. After many R&D and tests, the various testmodels are now optimally operational and in yield and can be manufactured and placed at actual size in suitable locations, namely where there is sufficient stream power and space available.

The largest model of client has 18 turbines with a diameter of 9.5 meters and supplies about 25. 000 MWh /year at a current speed of 2.5 m/sec/9 km/h or 5 Kn/h. The production and installation costs excluding shore connection are approximately € 25 million for this system of 18 turbines; that is about 60% cheaper than comparable wind turbine capacity.
The lifespan of the hydro turbine system is estimated at 35 years.
The designer/owner wishes to transfer the system to a party that is able to apply the system, for a fee that is proportionate to its application
